How frustrating if one of your Centerfire Guns does not fit into your rifle or gun case. Many things could easily go wrong. Here are just a few tips to consider before purchasing one.
First and foremost, consider what kind of case you will need. If you have a gun scope on your gun, you should store the entire thing in a hard plastic and padded case to keep from crushing the scope. However, if you are carrying your gun or rifle into a situation in which you may want to use your gun at a moment’s notice, a zippered cloth case would be a better option.
Next, take your rifle’s measurements. You will want to find a case that is a few inches longer than the firearm so that it will fit conveniently into the case. It will never be fun to try to wedge your gun into a case too small for it; in addition to being just plain frustrating, you could also damage the gun or the case.
The best way to find out if a case is for you is to test out the case before you buy. Take your own rifle in to wherever there are Guns for Sale or even a pawn shop. Ask to try it out. A good fit can make the difference between a fabulous and a frustrating hunting trip.
